I am delighted to announce that my pieces “Shoal” and “Launch” have been awarded the Silver prize in the Digital section of the upcoming annual Art Folio 2020, which will be published as a coffee table book in the New Year.
“Launch” is one of the earliest images in my “Artibles” series, part of the “In The Round” group based on rotating circles.
“Shoal” comes from my current “Into The Deep” group, inspired by undersea creatures. Like flocks of birds, many ocean fish swim together in large shoals, moving as one in response to predators. The shimmering, flashing swirls of movement make it difficult for the predator to pick out individual fish, providing safety in numbers.
