Reticule is an old French word for mesh or net.
Most of my earlier Artibles images don’t include much in the way of negative space within the central designs, so with this suite of images, I experimenting with just that, thin lattices of color interacting with each other, with large amounts of negative space.
The basis for these images are shapes with large holes punched out out of them to leave crescents or thin shells that I then rotate and/or move. The resulting networks fascinate me—these intricate designs seem to say something completely different than my previous work.
